#TransIsBeautiful

#TransIsBeautiful is a hashtag started by Laverne Cox--a black transgender woman actor commonly known for Orange is the New Black and one of the first series regular trans characters in now canceled Doubt. Laverne Cox started the hashtag #transisbeautiful after posing nude in a photo shoot in 2015. Her goal was to be authentic; show her body and her beauty. Her point: trans bodies are beautiful.

"Not everyone needs to think that I am beautiful. But no one should be able to tell me that I'm not beautiful because I'm transgender." -Rose
